The date was September 27, 1971, the place was University of Maryland’s Cole Field House in College Park, Maryland and I was there to see my first Elvis concert ♥♥ What was surprising to me was I was there because my Sister-in-law forgot to get the tickets that I gave her $$ to do just that ~ the cost of the ticket was *are ya ready* was approximately $10.00 ~ OMG yes $10.00 and that was for front row if you can believe that ~ the night of the concert I was not going to just set around and mope, called my gf said we are GOING to see Elvis so get ready will be by in 10 minutes ~ grabbed some wine coolers and off we went ~ told my gf in the car we will get in as I did have xtra monies that we could spend if anyone was selling tickets and we prayed ♥ Elvis was my #1 music hero as far back as I can remember and my friends, my family all knew this ~ driving slowly around the parking lot we looked for anyone that was selling xtra tickets and I super prayed they would have 2 not just one as I loved Elvis but would not leave my best friend in the car alone ~ with luck we heard this dude was selling 2 tickets for seats corner to the stage up a couple of rows ~ showtime was in 15 minutes and at first he was not going to sell them for less than 40 am like pleading and telling him I have 30 that’s it ~ we held our breath said more prayers and he said drive around one more time if not sold they were ours for $30.  OMG OMG I could hardly breathe and YESSSSSSSSS the tickets were ours ~ we found a parking space *no cost back then to park* the concert was one I will never ever forget ~ magical moments plus we were sitting next to a guy with binoculars that lent them and we zoomed in on Elvis’s rings and his face close up ~ I heard my favorite song being sung “Can’t help falling in love” ~ scroll below to hear ~ over the years I went to several more concerts and attended one of the last concerts before he died ~ even spent overnights to get tickets ~ for me he will always be the KING of Rock n Roll…the outfit is a mix/match of all good things from Legendaire including the hair ~ trying to replicate what I wore back then ~ except the jacket was black, underneath a black t-shirt, jeans, and black ankle boots with my blonde hair pulled up pony tail♥ Legendaire has very affordable clothes and even has a discount room that for me some clothes are classics that never go out of style ~ here is your RIDE so you can check it out ~ you won’t be disappointed with the prices either ♥♥
